Greetings Guilford Residents,
My name is Andrew Page, and I am writing to all of you as the 2025 Honorary Chair for the Guilford Community Fund’s Annual Appeal.
The town of Guilford has grown and changed since I was a child in the 1970’s. Local iconic businesses like Chello’s Oyster House, Fonicello’s and Benton’s Market are gone. Many of the local farms are gone, replaced with housing developments, furthering Guilford’s growth. Our volunteer fire department has been transformed into a professional, full-time fire department to safeguard all of us.
However, something that has not changed is the character of Guilford. I find Guilford to be full of caring neighbors who pride themselves in the community we call home. The spirit of Guilford is alive and well.
The Guilford Community Fund has provided help and relief to those in need since the 1950’s. Your generous donations directly impact our town. The Community Fund distributes the money back into Guilford through the variety of agencies it supports. The Guilford Community Fund is 100% volunteer based, and all of your donations are funneled back into Guilford where they are needed most.
So, I am writing this letter asking you to make a donation to the Guilford Community Fund this year or increase what you have previously donated. Your support for the Guilford Community Fund will provide aid to local seniors and support for kids and teens in town. Your donations will allow the Community Fund to continue supporting mental health and substance abuse programs. Meals on Wheels and the Guilford Food Bank will have more to share with those who struggle to put food on their tables. Any donation, regardless of size, helps the Guilford Community Fund continue to support those in need and helps keep the spirit of Guilford alive and well!
I would like to challenge the town of Guilford to make this the Guilford Community Fund’s most successful appeal ever. So, with that in mind, Page Hardware & Appliance Co. will cheerfully match the first fifty $100 donations made to the Guilford Community Fund. Your donations can be made in cash, check or with a credit card, just get it done.

2025 Honorary Chair, Guilford Community Fund
The Guilford Community Fund is pleased to announce Andrew R. Page, President of Page Hardware and Appliance Company, as its 2025 Annual Appeal Honorary Chairperson.
For more than 80 years, four generations of the Page family have supported Guilford through dedicated service—both hands-on and financial. “It’s an honor to serve the community in this capacity,” said Page. “My family has always understood the importance of supporting our neighbors, and to help kick things off, Page Hardware & Appliance Co. will match the first fifty $100 donations made to the Guilford Community Fund through December 31st.”
Since the 1950s, the Guilford Community Fund has quietly and effectively helped residents in need. Every dollar raised stays in Guilford, supporting organizations that make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Operated entirely by volunteers, the Fund ensures that 100% of every donation goes directly back into the community.
Board President Janette Luparia shared, “We are so grateful that Andrew Page has accepted our invitation to spearhead this year’s fundraising effort. His family’s longstanding commitment to the citizens of Guilford is paramount to our success, and we encourage others to follow suit.”
“Andrew is the perfect person to head up this charge,” added Tom Vendetti, GCF Board Member. “His history of leadership, along with his generous challenge gift, gives us the opportunity to raise the bar significantly as we solicit funds to support nonprofits in town.”
Contributions to the Fund provide meals for seniors, support programs for children and teens, strengthen local mental health and substance abuse services, and help keep the shelves of the Guilford Food Bank stocked for those who need them most. Every gift—large or small—helps keep Guilford’s spirit strong. “The act of giving is paramount to the sense of community that we enjoy. I can think of no better conduit than the Guilford Community Fund to steward our donations and further the spirit of Guilford.”
